So I was in Hobby Lobby today (picking up the little bit of fabric for the finishing touches on purple corset ren fest outfit), and the two ladies in front of me had a ton of glass bowls that all needed to be wrapped. I set my fabric down and started helping out. They were all shocked, the ladies and the cashier. The girl behind me who only had some maroon ribbons looked at me as if i was a freak of nature. Heaven forbid you help someone out! Isn't that a role we need to do? The ladies didn't ask me for help, I just did it without really having second thoughts. It was a foreign concept to the girl behind me, and the cashier thanked me several times for helping. Why don't people help one another out any more? Is it because we are afraid of legal action or prejudice? What's so bad about it? I just don't understand and it makes me quite sad to think about it. Helping one another isn't a bad thing. who cares if you don't work there, it's okay!
Normally, I'd apologize for ranting, but this rant needs no apology.
I LOVE this show! Wednesday nights at 9pm I'm in front of my tv watching the boys chase after tornadoes. This is my favorite reality show. Plus, they really are trying to get information so they can have more of a warning to get people to safety, especially if a mile wide EF5 is lurking...

That is the back of my pink Celtic gown I made. The whole thing is handsewn (took me forever!) in a pink and yellow plaid fabric. I was so proud of this thing too. I thought i'd put this up to hold you over while i'm working on the purple outfit =)
