This is the makeup bag/clutch I worked on this week. It's going to be one of my lesson plans for my crocheting classes I teach at Joann.
This is the purse I made too! It's crocheted with the zipper hand sewn in. There is no lining since I doubled the yarn and made this bag heavier. It also will be a project I'm hoping to teach soon.
It's been awhile since I've updated so let me say its been crazy. I quit my pizza job because i just could not stand to deal with my boss any more. I couldn't handle being asked to use expired food, deal with him not making anyone else clean the store BUT me, stealing money from people's paychecks and blaming me for it (even when I had solid proof it was HIM not me.) I'm relieved honestly. It was horrible and I feel sorry for the people who are still there. For work right now, I will be a sub again as i have been these past 2 years and school starts in just a few days! yay! I'm also teaching a few crocheting classes at a local arts and crafts store called Joann. It's amazing, they have everything in there and teachers get 15% off every time. By teachers I mean anyone who can provide an id with a school district. As a sub, i count! That's a major plus in my book! If anyone here is interested in my classes please feel free to comment and I'll give you the details.
Db and i have been watching some movies this week. I recommend both "The Lincoln Lawyer" and "The Source Code". Both were excellent and had good plots too. I finally watched the last Harry Potter movie and I think it ended well. Though why the makeup crew didnt make them look like they were 38 weirded me out and disappointed me a bit. Also in theaters, "Rise of the Apes" was much better than i thought it was going to be. I'd go see it. For all you HP fans, Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy is in it. (and he's still an ass)
I'll keep you updated on all my goodies I'm making. Try and stay cool! (is it October yet?)

Whoooo for Yooooooou
It's done! yay! My bestie shot this with her fancy camera yesterday and it's already received 12 faves on deviantart! =) I'm just happy I finished it! If you have no clue who I am (pun intended *giggle snort*) then look up Tom Baker Doctor Who in any search engine and you'll see! I used the pattern from doctorwhoscarf.com and I made the original scarf half size version. It's still over 10 feet long! O_O* This link is his first episode and where you see the scarf. I'm hoping dad likes it though. Since that is his hat I used for the photos, now with teh scarf all he has to do is grow his hair out a bit and he'll have a good halloween costume!
*side note* Don't short change the delivery driver, we have the right to not serve your pizza. We cannot afford to pay for it ourselves.

Gomen!!!
I haven't forgotten about this, I'm s orry everyone! It's been crazy lately, and I'm just barely slowing down. School just ended a nd for those that didn't know I was subbing junior high choir for the last month of school. It was so much fun, but I was still working the hut at night too. I was coming home exhausted. I felt awful for barely having spent much time with my baby but he knew I needed to teach and work the hut, and he supported me. He's great! ^_^* Now I'm buckling down on a few projects. I need to finish my dad's doctor who scarf by father's day, fix 3 fam member's broken jewelry items, study my bum off for Japanese as well and work on my assistant manager training. *whew* I need a vacation!
I wanted to type for a moment on a topic I've seen in my classroom that may be one all of you see elsewhere. When you are in a completely mixed up environment you tend to listen to things to make sure there are no conflicts. When I told my kids I can speak Japanese they immediately had to reactions: oh cool! or the worse one... they started making strange sounds and bowing their heads to one another. I HATE that! One student even started making fun of them in depth and was laughing that they probably even sneeze differently. Are you kidding me? A sneeze is a sneeze, end of story. I told him to stop being so racist and he was terribly confused. The entire group of kids thought that they could be racist to other people but no one could say anything back. Mainly the latino children and the black children were constantly at each other's throats making all sorts of comments and not thinking anything of it, even though they were extremely racial. They also thought it was fun to poke at white and asian people. To them, this was nothing. They have no understanding at all what it really is to be racist against someone even though each and every one of them was doing it! It was the saddest thing I've ever seen... Where are they learning this from and how can this be stopped???
Also, I'm rather ticked at the Texas government. They've cut back money so much that they are refusing food and water to prison inmates on the weekends. Where's the humanity in that??? They are still humans and they still deserve to be treated as such. I'm so disappointed and heartbroken in our government's decision. It's not morally right...
Alright, now onto my reviews! BF and I went to try Steak N Shake the other night. The prices are super cheap, and the quality is so so. You can do better at Whataburger. They have the shoestring fries so they are super tiny and the burger patties are not very thick either. The staff was friendly though, and they do offer a ton of healthy sides, like cottage cheese or mandarin oranges. I didn't try a milkshake, but I may. If you want a burger go elsewhere.
This makeup is awesome! I'vebeen hunting for a good foundation that can cover my pores and help me look much better and this one is it! I'm done searching. It stays on the entire day and hides everything I need it to. It even helps me hide the purplish dark circles I have thanks to my allergies. I don't need concealer any more and for that I am grateful! This foundation is also inexpensive and you can find it any where! It doesn't make my sensitive skin break out either! It also has an SPF of 18 for that added boost of sun protection which we all need. Please remember to use sunscreen, as skin cancer is painful!
I watched this yesterday with my sister and it's adorable! I enjoyed the new spin on Rapunzel. The music is well done, and it helps having Mandy Moore as the lead! Even the boys will like this but you'll have to watch it to see why! The chameleon takes the cake though so watch him! =)
I'd love to hear all comments about what I've talked about today! Please let me know what you think! I'm also working on my doctor who scarf and its almost done! As soon as I finish, I'll post some Who worthy pics! =)

That is my newest blankie off to someone who needs it. It's made completely of baby yarn =D its super soft. The kids i sub for all were fascinated by me making it. lol Right now I've started another blanket. I'm about to start on a scarf too for a present. I haven't had much time to create any more jewelry but I will try to soon. I also wanted to work on my sewing machine too, I am trying to find some free patterns that i can practice with until i get used to using it. I'm also trying to learn to tattoo and that is proving harder than i thought. I tell you what, tat artists are really talented.
My writings on water got runner up on the fashion website I follow! =) That made me pretty proud. It's the third story they've published of mine so far. I wish i was talented enough to write for magazines. I have ideas but i'm never satisfied with my pieces enough to send them in...
Happy! So happy! I love Avril and this new cd is just as good as her other ones. I loved all the songs. If you're an Av fan, go to best buy you can pick up the cd for 9.99 =) Awesome!
I've been busy working as many hours as I can in both my jobs, so wish me luck that I can fully become a teacher! =)
I'm very heartbroken for Japan =(

clean water
here is my submission to a fashion website on getting people clean drinking water, they published it today =)
http://www.suddenlydarling.com/its-clear-to-me-by-mintpearlsandowls.html
Clear water. For some, this is something never seen before. 884 million people around the world have never seen clear water, yet here in America we have millions of bottles of water, or tap water that is perfectly clear. Thousands die every single day due to diseases that run rampant in the stagnant water. Simple diseases that we even have cures for, people are dying from.
What can we do? Raise money and awareness. Every Christmas, Americans spend 450 billion dollars on Christmas. It would only take 10 billion to solve the world’s drinking water problem. Yes. I just said solve. Believe it or not, this is one issue we can fix but people don’t know about it. It costs just $3,000 to build a well in India and $12,000 for a well in Africa. Teams are ready to build, but it takes money. I know there are tons of noble causes out there, but to me this one tops them all. Think about it this way. Trying to solve world hunger will do no good if the people are still going to die from dysentery or cholera from their water sources. Women are getting attacked and even raped; trying to get any kind of water they can, though it may be several miles from their villages.
For all of you, who love him; support Matt Damon, as he is one of many celebrities trying to help solve the water issue. Spread the word. I’m working on trying to get something set up through the company I work for to let people donate. If enough of us raise the money this is something we can solve! Once we solve this then we can move onto other things. Do a Google search and you’ll find many websites that will give you all the information and more about what I’ve said.
Girls our age, younger and older are dying because of their drinking water. They need our help, so please join me in trying to save them. You can add me as a friend here on Suddenly Darling and you can write on my wall or send me a message with any questions! The world is waiting!
What do you think??? =)
I just finished reading Jodi Picoult's HOUSE RULES and wow is it good, you need to read this book if you are at all curious about Asperger's (its high functioning autism...)
Stomach feels funk so does head, off to lie down now -_-

Loss of Faith
Many apologies for not updating sooner, as I have been without internet (and tv) for nearly two weeks. It's annoying to have a company who charges you for things you don't have and when you call them out on it and demand your money they pretend like they have no idea what you are talking about. They owe me $410. I'm not ever going to see a penny of it sadly enough. I don't know what else to do. I'm stuck in an apartment who has a solitary contract with those pricks so no one else is allowed to come. I may have found a way around it all, so I will keep you posted!
I lost one of my drivers this past week. The hard part is the way he died. Humanity. People were people completely selfish. I know it was cold outside but seriously, all these people that passed by lived in the houses right where it happened... you have washers, dryers, showers, and plenty of dry clothes. Get over yourself seriously. My driver had an asthma attack and drove into a lake. No one helped him. People told news cameras that the water was too cold for them. This makes me mad beyond words. One of my other drivers came around about 15 minutes later and saw a car in the lake sinking. He saw people standing around gawking and jumped in. He had no idea he was saving his fellow teammate. Though he was successful, the driver died from brain damage. There were no brain waves and the doctors said if someone had pulled him out sooner, he would have survived. This makes me so disgusted with humanity. A perfectly good life is gone because people are too selfish to care. He was a young father, only 22 years old with a 7 month old son... To each and every person that sat there watching him die, I sincerely hope the same thing happens to you but worse. The only person immune from that wrath is the one guy out of all those people that said he honestly didn't know how to swim. I hope the news anchor that was mocking the entire situation (while seeing the life flight helicopter overhead) loses her job and that someone close to her dies too so she can understand. I normally am not this upset but when someone dies because people stood and watched, then every single person there is guilty of murder. People aren't nice, They don't help one another like they used to. Good samaratins don't even exist. There are only a handful of good, decent people left in the world. I keep wondering why we are all worth saving. How can you save someone who has no soul to begin with? Each of those people that can watch someone die as if it's just a movie, has no soul and is a huge disappointment to society. You disappoint and disgust me.
rest in peace xbox, we will miss you. i know the organs you donated will help people and i hope they are as unselfish as you.
